Freakonomics

Recently finished reading Freakonomics. A very interesting book about how things are not always what they seem. Example; after the 'experts' predicted high crime rates in the US in the early 90s to become even much much higher, the crimerates started to drop... and drop... and drop... They were at a loss why. This book explains (with data to support it) that the actual reason was the supreme court Roe vs Wade decision in 1973 (legalized abortion) that made this happen.

Very interesting book!

And thanks to the girl in the train from D.C. to New York who sat next to me and was reading this book. I was reading Stephen Covey's book 'The 7 habits of highly effective people' what got us talking.

Btw; I still haven't finished Stephen's book... :-)
