Julius Caesar
Ok, not for everybody I admit it. But just finished a biography (in Dutch) about Julius Caesar. By Adrian Goldsworthy. It is an excellent book and details his (exceptional) live in three parts; The road to the consulate, proconsul (with his conquest of Gaul) and Civil War and Dictatorship. Very well written. Recommended for everyone who likes history.
